Handcrafted contemporary silver and gold jewellery designs.
Drawing upon my Danish roots I am influenced by Scandinavian Design; my pieces are simple, contemporary in design, timeless and elegant. I like to produce contrasts in my work, whether by hammering, oxidising or milling the precious metal. I particularly enjoy shaping the metal by forging and planishing and many of my pieces involve these techniques to give interesting textures to the jewellery I create.
I also include semi-precious and precious gemstones in my designs.
Where appropriate pieces are hallmarked with my unique mark which is registered with the London Assay Office.
I am a member of The Cambridge Jewellers Guild, The Guild of Jewellery designers and Cambridge Open Studios,
I am also featured in the Crafts Council Maker's directory - more information available here .
I am happy to take commissions in silver and gold and visits to my Cambridge studio can be arranged year round through the contact form. Recent commissions and new work in progress can be seen on my Blog page or facebook page. For example I have recently completed some 9ct gold mobius wedding bands and a pair of 18ct gold earrings - you can see more here
I hope you are well and staying safe in these difficult times. I am still able to work in my studio as I work alone, all pieces of jewellery are handled with gloves after the final polishing and when packaged and sent out.
If you're looking for a gift for yourself or a loved one I can post out or deliver items locally. I have listed a lot of pieces in my online shop which can be found here https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/BirgitteBruunDesigns
but do enquire if you see a piece on this website as I may have it in stock.
Commissions are also welcome too - you can contact me here Contact Form
Many thanks for your continued support and looking forward to the time when I can welcome people into my studio once again.
